What's monoclonal antibody (mAB)?
monoclonal antibody (mAB) ?A single type of antibody that is directed against a specific epitope (antigen, antigenic determinant) and is produced by a single clone of B cells or a single hybridoma cell line, which is formed by the fusion of a lymphocyte cell with a myeloma cell. Some myeloma cells synthesize single antibodies naturally.

The CPGJ Bio-technology Institute, a subordinated R&D department owned by CPGJ, is responsible for the application study and process development of new drugs. The institute holds cell bank, cell culture room, purified processing lab, formulation lab, analytical testing center and public labs, equipped with international leading antibody agents development and testing facility. CPGJ can also provide external services to the public.

The institute has set up 8 cell screening rooms which could conduct simultaneous high-expressing cell line generation and screening of 16 types of antibody drugs simultaneously.

Through active participation in the frontier innovation of bio-technology, the institute has developed new drugs using bi-functional humanized monoclonal antibody technology, which enables it to keep pace with its international counterparts in terms of development of the 3rd generation bio-technological products.
